Nose
Stewed plums, raisin loaf and dark chocolate fold over toasted walnut and a drizzle of date syrup. There's a Mediterranean warmth to it — figs, orange peel, a curl of pipe tobacco.
Palate
Lush and chewy, with fig jam, cherry liqueur, dark muscovado and a flash of cinnamon. The oak is well-integrated, lending soft tannic grip rather than dryness.
Finish
Long, warming and spiced, leaving raisin, cocoa nib and a faint nutty bitterness that calls for another sip.
