Nose
Sweet honey, sugar shards, butterscotch. Ripe red berries, vanilla, a hint of mint. Caramel sweetness and toasted oak. An irresistible, dessert-like opening.
Palate
Toffee apples, brown sugar, vanilla custard. Sweet sugar syrups, Angostura bitters and barrel spice. Creamy — cherries layered with caramel, vanilla, hints of coffee and cereal. Cinnamon and pepper spice provide structure. Rich and complex with layers that open up slowly.
Finish
Long and lingering — pepper and citrus. The single barrel individuality shows most clearly in the finish.
