Whisky Review: Buchanan’s Pineapple landed on my desk at 35% ABV; $29, carrying a $29.99 price tag. Here is what I found.
crafted with Scotch whisky, pineapple, citrus and other natural flavors; 35% ABV; $29.99 SRP. Pineapple gummy bears. There is a hint of alcohol, but this is overwhelmingly pineapple gummy candy. I asked my wife to try it and low-and-behold she loved it. This is going to be polarizing for drinkers. This might work on a hot summers day over some ice with a spritz of lime – maybe you can confuse yourself into thinking its a rum cocktail and not a whisky drink. Overall, it is extremely sweet and almost noxiously perfumed with pineapple. At least to this reviewer. Probably best enjoyed in cocktails. Editor’s Note: This whiskey was either bought as a sample by Whiskeyful or provided to us as a review sample by the party behind it. The Bottom Line
Whisky Review: Buchanan’s Pineapple did not quite work for me. At $29.99, I would steer you toward other bottles that offer more for your money in this category.
