Nose

Bright and fresh with notes of citrus, sweet sugarcane, hickory, and leather.

Palate

Strong and sweet herbaceous notes early on, with streaks of marshmallow, anise, licorice, and peach. A long finish and clean, smooth mouthfeel made this whiskey stand up and speak to me.

Palate

As a proud Pacific Northwesterner, I’m happy to welcome Westland Distillery’s Solum Edition 1 as one of the first American peat influenced whiskeys out there. The whiskey is delicious and perfectly peated, and there’s nothing I’d rather sip on over an open campfire under a starry summer night sky.

Finish

Strong and sweet herbaceous notes early on, with streaks of marshmallow, anise, licorice, and peach. A long finish and clean, smooth mouthfeel made this whiskey stand up and speak to me.
