The lightness of the spirit works with the mixer rather than fighting it, and it's one of the most drinkable long serves going. If you prefer it neat, a single large ice cube opens things up nicely without drowning the flavour. And if you're making an Old Fashioned and want something less assertive than bourbon, Crown Royal handles the job with quiet competence.
