Nose
Old oak, dried grass, vanilla custard. A subtle nuttiness beneath, with hints of toffee and a faint floral lift — surprisingly delicate for a brand often associated with simplicity.
Palate
Smooth to the point of silky — caramel, gentle oak spice, soft cereal sweetness. The 20 years have rounded every edge, leaving a whisky that flows easily but perhaps too quietly. A touch of dried apple emerges mid-palate.
Finish
Medium, clean, with oak tannin and a lingering vanilla sweetness that fades gently.
