Nose
Intense rye — dark bread, black pepper, caramel. A wave of grain intensity at full strength, with dried fruit, leather and a menthol coolness. Water reveals toffee, orange peel and a savoury warmth. One of the most expressive rye noses you will find.
Palate
Powerful and grainy — dark rye bread, cracked pepper, brown sugar. The cask strength gives it an extraordinary density and chewiness. Mid-palate explodes with cinnamon, dark chocolate and a savoury umami depth. Despite the proof, there is a fundamental sweetness that keeps everything balanced.
Finish
Very long, with rye spice, dark toffee and a warming intensity that sustains beautifully.
