Nose

Sweet peat smoke, caramel, petrichor, distant campfire, cedar wood, lemongrass, banana, hint of clove — the Amoroso adding warmth to the Skye character

Palate

Caramel and peat upfront, earthy and slightly medicinal mid-palate, charcoal, nuttiness, sea salt, brine, crisp white sugar, mature wood — complex and layered

Finish

Mesquite BBQ smokiness, subtle astringency, lingering dry warmth — the sherry finish enhancing rather than overwhelming the peat

Double matured — first in American oak refill casks, then finished in Amoroso sherry casks (a blend of Oloroso and Pedro Ximénez). The Amoroso finish adds dried fruit sweetness and richness without masking the distillery's hallmark maritime peat and black pepper. 45.8%.
