Tasting Notes

Nose

Light and fragrant — vanilla, orange blossom. Greater depth reveals caramel, ground hazelnut, honey and fragrant roasted spices. More interesting than budget grain whiskies usually offer.

Palate

Mild on the tongue with a slight burn at the end. Cinnamon-dusted oats, honey, vanilla and spice. A nice, light style with a hint of caramel. Decent body and deeply toasted spice.

Finish

Honey sweetness and toasted spice linger. A composed close.

Expert Review

7.5/10

A twelve-year-old single grain from Angus Dundee — light, floral and a gentle introduction to aged grain whisky.
