Tasting Notes

Nose

Sweet and oaky — rich toffee, dried fruit, stone fruit, citrus peel, peaches and cream with time and water, the pot still richness immediately evident

Palate

Full-bodied and creamy — the oily texture synonymous with single pot still, warming cinnamon, nutmeg, and clove, orange citrus, fragrant vanilla, smooth toffee, walnut, sherry fruitiness, buttered toast

Finish

Lengthy — pleasantly lingering spices, balanced malt sweetness, the 12 years in mixed casks providing depth and grace, a truly complete whiskey experience

Expert Review

9/10

The definitive expression of Irish Pot Still whiskey — malted AND unmalted barley triple-distilled in copper pot stills at Midleton, aged 12 years in a combination of ex-bourbon and Oloroso sherry casks. Full-bodied, creamy, oily texture that is the hallmark of single pot still. A tradition safeguarded for almost 200 years.
