Tasting Notes

Nose

Vanilla, honey, milk chocolate, caramelised green apple, peach, banana, roasted coffee, damp oak — extraordinarily complex nose

Palate

Creamy and smooth — butterscotch, custard, vanilla, burnt sugar, ripe fruit — apple, lemon, mango — soft, oily, well-balanced texture

Finish

Medium-long and warm — lingering spice and oak, the Master Distiller's cask selection evident in every note, refined and elegant

Expert Review

8.5/10

Created in 1984 by legendary Master Distiller Barry Crockett as a once-a-year prestige bottling showcasing Midleton's finest maturing stocks. Each vintage is unique — the Master Distiller (now Kevin O'Gorman) selects a small number of exceptional casks. A blend of single pot still and grain whiskeys. One of the most collectible annual Irish whiskey releases.
