Tasting Notes

Nose

Bright and expressive. Honeyed wheat bread, baked pear, vanilla cream and cinnamon toast. A gentle citrus lift — lemon zest and candied orange — cuts through soft caramel.

Palate

Rounded and plush. Vanilla pod, toffee apple, buttered pecan and warm baking spice. The wheat is very present — soft and almost pastry-like — with the wood finish adding layered oak and a hint of toasted coconut.

Finish

Medium-long, sweet and spiced. Caramel, warm cinnamon, vanilla bean and a clean wheated fade.

Expert Review

8.2/10

The second release in Maker's Mark's Wood Finishing Series — BEP, built around barrel-entry proof experiments from Bill Samuels Jr's original stash.
