Tasting Notes

Nose

Old sherry oak in full voice: dried fig, dark honey, polished walnut, orange peel and a slow vanilla sweetness. Faint cigar leaf underneath.

Palate

Dense, syrupy and layered. Raisin, treacle, dark chocolate and stewed plum, then a savoury turn towards leather and dried tobacco. Cinnamon and clove ride the finish in.

Finish

Long, slow and resinous. Espresso, cocoa nib, oak tannin and a final whisper of orange marmalade.
