Expert Review
7/10One road, one distillery, one pub, fewer than 200 residents — outnumbered by approximately 5,000 red deer. George Orwell described Jura as 'extremely unget-at-able' when he arrived in 1946 to complete Nineteen Eighty-Four at Barnhill farmhouse on the island's northern tip. Matured in American oak bourbon barrels, finished in Oloroso sherry butts.
