Stewed black cherries, almond paste, vanilla bean and warm pipe tobacco — like a bakery beside a woodshop.
Palate
Rich and oily, kirsch and dark cherry compote up front, then maple syrup, marzipan and a swell of charred oak.
Finish
Long, warm and resinous — cherry stones, brown butter and a dry tannic curl from the toasted wood.
