Tasting Notes

Nose

Honey-glazed peach, black liquorice, pineapple, plum, gentle smoke, cacao — seamless harmony where nothing dominates

Palate

Soft and custardy — caramel, honeyed oak, apricot, yuzu, a slight Highland-style peatiness, perfectly balanced, never sharp, never cloying

Finish

Long — oak, cocoa, sherried citrus peel, the art of Japanese blending at its absolute peak, a finish that speaks of patience and precision

Expert Review

9/10

Discontinued in 2018 due to soaring demand outstripping aged stock — one of the whisky world's most lamented losses. Marrying malt from Yamazaki and Hakushu with grain from Chita. The 24-faceted bottle represents the Japanese seasons. Multiple 'World's Best Blended Whisky' awards at the ISC and WWA. Replaced by the NAS Hibiki Japanese Harmony.
