Expert Review
8/10'Quinta Ruban' means 'ruby port' in Gaelic. Aged 10 years in ex-bourbon casks through Scotland's tallest stills (5.14m), then a further 2+ years in ruby port pipes from the Douro Valley. Part of Dr Bill Lumsden's Extra Matured range — Lumsden is a pioneer of cask finishing in Scotch whisky. Relaunched 2019 with a 14-year age statement (previously 12). Non-chill filtered at 46%.
