Tasting Notes

Nose

Sweet summer fragrances — banana, pineapple, meadow freshness, creamy vanilla, toffee, hints of oak, the 1824 heritage in every note

Palate

Tropical fruits — pineapple, a touch of vanilla, smooth as a fruity whisky gets, peach and pear sweetness, the double oak providing depth without weight

Finish

Oak and nutty notes — a kick on the back of the throat, lingering fruits, less smooth than the arrival but pleasantly assertive

Expert Review

7/10

George Smith obtained one of Scotland's first legal distilling licences in 1824 — The Glenlivet defined the Speyside style that the world fell in love with. Matured in European and American oak. Tropical fruits, sweet vanilla, toffee. Irresistibly smooth. The second best-selling single malt globally.
