Tasting Notes

Nose

Red berries, plums, dates, caramel, toffee, vanilla fudge, orange peel, creamy sherry, nutty character — unmistakably sherried

Palate

Plum, redcurrant, raisins, fruit-and-nut chocolate, orange peel, cinnamon, nutmeg, walnuts, malty with good sherry sweetness and a minty side

Finish

Medium to long — red fruit fading into crumbly raisin fudge with lingering red berries, the Oloroso leaving its signature warmth

Expert Review

8/10

One of the last independent family-owned distilleries in Scotland — the Grant family since 1865, now in their 6th generation. 'Valley of the green grassland.' 100% Oloroso sherry cask maturation. Bottled at 46% because it was the preference of George Grant's grandfather. Gold at the International Wine & Spirits Competition 2022. The sweet spot of the range.
