Zesty sweetness, soft orange, earthy moss, greenhouse warmth — opens to green apple, lemon meringue, kiwi, pineapple, then vanilla, honey, sultanas from the cognac

Palate

Rich, buttery texture — floral notes, sweet barley sugar over crisp green apples, vanilla shortbread, oily mouthfeel, good tannin tingle, stewed apple character

Finish

Long and warm — sandalwood and lingering dried fruit, the cognac influence adding a final flourish of French elegance

Matured in ex-bourbon casks with a cognac cask finish. Non-chill filtered, no colour added, 46.3%. The hydro-electric turbine still powers the distillery. An elegant, balanced 18-year-old that punches above its price.
