Got a dram of this at my local whisky bar and I'm still thinking about it days later. That classic Clynelish waxy texture is dialled up to eleven after 32 years in wood. I picked up stewed orchard fruits on the nose and a gentle smokiness underneath everything. At nearly 50% ABV it carries all that age beautifully without feeling hot at all.

I tried this at a whisky festival and it's genuinely lovely neat — honeycomb, old leather, and a waxy richness that Clynelish is famous for. The finish goes on forever. But at £875 I kept thinking about how many excellent 15-20 year old bottles I could buy instead. A 7 from me purely because the value proposition is tough at this price point.
