First Impressions
Where the 10 Year is the workhorse, the 15 Year is WhistlePig's statement piece.
Distillery & Heritage
The same 100% Canadian rye is matured first in ex-bourbon, then finished in custom barrels coopered from Vermont estate-grown white oak harvested on the Shoreham farm itself. The Vermont oak finish is the brand's signature flourish.
Tasting Notes in Detail
The nose is honeyed and oak-forward: vanilla, polished furniture, dark cherry. The palate layers maple syrup over rye spice, with baked apple, leather and espresso developing across the mid-palate.
Verdict
One of the most distinctive aged ryes on the market.
