Nose
Big burst of spearmint, quickly followed by red pepper, hearty cedar and peanut shell. Caramel mixes with nutmeg, cinnamon, fennel and ginger. The barrel proof gives the nose commanding intensity.
Palate
Caramel sweetness with a chilli-oil heat building on the tongue. Herbal peppermint, cherry, sweetened apricot and a hint of bubblegum. Layers of rye spice, baking spices, cinnamon and black pepper. It drinks hot but rewardingly so.
Finish
Cinnamon and cedar first, then rye spice and robust cigar box notes. A powerful anise note sends the finish sky high. Long and intense.
