Tasting Notes

Nose

Lemongrass and oak immediately fill the nose with a tiny hint of stone fruit. Hazelnut and wheat grain nudge out other aromas but honeysuckle and rosemary linger around the edges.

Palate

Very soft, almost floral and creamy with honeysuckle and vanilla coming together nicely. Cedar notes flash briefly in the middle of the palate while the bourbon cask takes over with spicy cinnamon, nutmeg and caramel persisting through the finish.

Finish

Comments: Latest On The Whiskey Wash No age statement. Matured in bourbon barrels and finished in French oak casks

No age statement. Matured in bourbon barrels and finished in French oak casks. 92 proof (46% ABV). $100.00/700ml. Truly and delectable treat. The whiskey starts very delicate and consistently intensifies, without becoming overbearing. The experience is like a kind gentleman settling down to read a good book on a summer day. It knows what it is, it knows what it wants, and is a consistently enjoyable and peaceful experience. rnrn

Verdict

Method And Madness Single Malt Irish Whiskey is an exceptional expression that stands among the finest in its category. It rewards patience and attention in equal measure, and we recommend it without reservation — though at $100.00, one expects nothing less.
