Caskmates began as an exchange in Midleton's hometown: Jameson lent ex-whiskey casks to Cork's Franciscan Well brewery, who returned them with stout-soaked staves. The resulting whiskey, launched in 2015.

Distilled at Midleton in County Cork — home of the Jameson family of whiskeys since the brand's relocation from Dublin in 1975 — Caskmates is built on the standard Jameson triple-distilled blend.
Tasting Notes in Detail
The nose is unmistakably Jameson — vanilla, orchard fruit, light spice — with a layer of cocoa and mild hops on top. The palate stays smooth and approachable: milk chocolate and butterscotch dominate.
