Long, warming, peppery rye spice fading into vanilla and dark chocolate

First Impressions

Rendezvous Rye remains the bottle that put High West on every serious whiskey shelf in America.

Distillery & Heritage

Founded in 2006 in Park City by former biochemist David Perkins, High West began as a saloon-distillery hybrid in a converted livery stable. Perkins built his reputation by sourcing exceptional rye stocks and blending them with a chemist's precision. Constellation Brands acquired High West in 2016.

Tasting Notes in Detail

The nose leaps out of the glass with that unmistakable High West mint-and-eucalyptus signature. The palate is muscular and herbal — rye bread, peppermint, fig, leather — with the older component lending real depth.

Verdict

One of the great American ryes of the modern era.
