First Impressions
That unmistakable lime-green bottle and yellow label have been on back bars for a century.
Distillery & Heritage
Cutty Sark was created at Berry Bros & Rudd's St James's shop in 1923, named after the legendary Clyde-built tea clipper. It was the first Scotch designed to be pale and light — a radical move at the time. Now owned by Edrington, it draws on Glenrothes and other Speysiders.
Tasting Notes in Detail
The nose is gentle and creamy — vanilla, soft citrus, a hint of toasted oak. The palate is light and undemanding.
Verdict
A piece of whisky history that still does its job.
