Nose

Dark caramel, leather-bound book, dried fig and a curl of pipe tobacco. Underneath, vanilla pod and a little orange marmalade.

Palate

Rich and chewy. Toffee, dark cherry, brown sugar, then a tide of baking spice and old oak. There's a savoury note too — toasted walnut, even a hint of espresso.

Finish

Long, warming, drying slowly into dark chocolate, clove and aged leather. Quietly magnificent.
