At 58.7% it's a beast neat, but add a few drops of water and you get this gorgeous mix of peat smoke, salted caramel and orchard fruit. The Scottish oak influence really comes through with a spicy, tannic edge that sets it apart from the standard bottlings.

Picked this up from The Whisky Exchange on a bit of an impulse. Lovely coastal peat on the nose with some vanilla and toasted oak underneath. At £100 for a young single cask it's not exactly a bargain, but the quality is there and you can tell this distillery is going places.
