Tasting Notes

Nose

Beeswax polish on dark furniture, dried apricot, candied orange peel, a whisper of old leather and pipe tobacco. With time, walnut oil and a faint mineral note from very old oak.

Palate

Silken and unhurried. Honeyed barley, fig, dates, marzipan, then a slow swell of dark chocolate and cracked black pepper. The wood is old but not tired, lending sandalwood and a thread of resinous spice.

Finish

Long, dry, gently tannic, with leather, cocoa nib, and a final flicker of orange oil.
