Priya Sharma — Punchy wee dram

At 53% this has some serious kick but it carries it well. Big honey and orchard fruit on the nose, then baking spices and a hint of oak on the palate. Added a few drops of water and it really opened up into something lovely. Solid independent bottling from Tomatin.

Clara Johansson — Good but not cheap

I enjoyed this but at nearly £88 for a 10 year old I expected a bit more complexity. It's well made — vanilla, dried fruit, a peppery finish — but there are Tomatin official bottlings that give you more for less. That said, the cask strength is a nice touch.
