Expert Review
7.5/10Founded 1897 and expanded to 23 stills by 1974, Tomatin was once the world's largest malt whisky distillery. After liquidation in 1986, it was purchased by Takara Shuzo — making it the first Scotch distillery under Japanese ownership. Matured in bourbon barrels then finished in Oloroso sherry casks. Quietly one of the best value Highlands.
