This is Talisker with the volume turned up. At 59.7% it's absolutely packed with maritime peat, brine, and cracked black pepper. I added a few drops of water and got waves of smoked honey and dried fruit. For a younger expression it punches well above its age.

Clara Johansson — Good but pricey for 8 years

I enjoyed this neat — big smoky hit up front with some sweet malt underneath and a long peppery finish. Classic Talisker DNA for sure. But ninety quid for an 8 year old is a tough sell when the 10 year old is half the price and nearly as good.
