Gentle peat, red berry fruit, a gentle warmth. The combination of light peat and red wine cask finishing creates an unusual and appealing nose. Beneath the smoke and fruit, malt, vanilla and a gentle cereal warmth.
Palate
Gently smoky and fruity — peat, red berry, a gentle sweetness. The red wine cask finishing adds berry fruit that interweaves with the light peat smoke. Mid-palate brings vanilla, a gentle spice and a warm malty depth. At 48%, good body.
Finish
Medium, with gentle smoke and red fruit sustaining together.
