I grabbed this on a whim not knowing much about Swedish whisky and I'm genuinely impressed. At 45% it's got real presence — dried orchard fruits, a whiff of coastal air, and this lovely honeyed barley sweetness. Sipped neat over an evening it just kept opening up.

A friend poured me this blind and I guessed Highland Scotch, which I think says a lot about the quality. Lovely waxy texture with baked apple and a touch of maritime character. Once he told me it was Swedish I went straight online and ordered my own bottle. No regrets at all.

Brought this to a tasting night with friends and it was the bottle everyone kept going back to. There's an earthiness underneath the fruit and honey that feels distinctly Scandinavian somehow. At 45% ABV it's approachable but not thin. Really enjoyable stuff.

Look, this is a well-made single malt with some genuinely unique character. Herbal notes, a bit of sea salt, touches of vanilla. But at £96 for what's essentially an NAS from a small Swedish operation, I keep thinking about what else that money could buy. Good whisky, tough price point.

Had a dram at a whisky bar before committing to a bottle. It's perfectly nice — clean maltiness, some dried apricot, a hint of oak spice on the finish. Nothing offensive at all, just didn't blow me away enough to rush out and spend nearly a hundred quid on it.
