35 reviewsI know I'll catch heat for this but at £9,500 I expected something that would genuinely change how I think about blended Scotch. It's solid — warm spice, raisin, a nice waxy quality — but not leagues ahead of Royal Salute's standard range. The Quinn bottle is admittedly gorgeous and I get the luxury appeal, just not for me.

26 March 2026A friend opened his bottle for a special occasion and I feel privileged to have tasted it. Incredibly smooth for nearly 50% ABV, with waves of dark chocolate, candied orange, and subtle smoke. The blend is seamless — you'd never guess how many components are working together here. Worth every penny if you can swing it.

18 March 2026Let's be honest, the Richard Quinn collaboration is what caught my eye, but at 49.8% this drinks with real authority. Layers of dried fruit, baking spice, and old leather that just keep unfolding neat. Is it nine and a half grand good? For a collector who actually opens their bottles, maybe.

21 February 2026I tried this at a tasting event and it's genuinely excellent — rich honeyed malt with a long spiced finish. The higher ABV gives it backbone you don't always get from blended Scotch. But at £9,500 I kept thinking about how many incredible single malts that money could buy instead.

21 January 2026Had a dram at a whisky bar and went in expecting to be completely blown away given the price point. It's very good — dried apricot, toffee, hint of oak — and the finish lingers for ages. But I've had blended Scotch at a fraction of the cost that gave me a similar experience. You're paying heavily for the presentation.
