Reservoir makes a decent rye with some nice baking spice and a dry, grainy finish. I enjoyed it neat over the course of a bottle but at over £90 I kept thinking about what else I could grab at that price point. If it were £60-65 I'd rebuy without hesitation.

This one doesn't mess around. At 50% ABV you get a solid rye spice punch up front — black pepper, cinnamon bark, a bit of dried cherry underneath. I sip it neat and it holds up beautifully without water. Virginia doesn't get enough credit for what they're putting out.

Picked this up on a whim and it's become my favourite cocktail rye. The 50% proof means it cuts through vermouth perfectly and that peppery, slightly herbal character really shines in a Manhattan. Neat it's a touch hot for my taste but mixed it's fantastic.
