Nose
Warm brioche, dried apricot and a generous dusting of nutmeg. Behind it, green apple, vanilla pod and the faintly waxy, leathery note that defines mature pot still spirit.
Palate
Full-bodied and mouth-coating. Baked apple, honey and toasted oak up front, then a building wave of clove, black pepper and ginger. Barley sugar and a touch of orange oil keep the spice in check.
Finish
Long, warming and dry, with lingering pepper, oak tannin and a faint note of aged leather.
