Golden raisins, straw, cinnamon, sweet wet tobacco leaf, floral hints — coastal and rich

Finish

Long, honeyed-spiced with floral lift — the Wick maritime character carrying through

Expert Review

8.5/10

Maritime Highland malt from Pulteney distillery in Wick, Caithness — Scotland's most northerly mainland distillery, founded 1826 in the herring-fishing capital. Ex-bourbon American oak then heavily charred Spanish oak Oloroso sherry casks. Gold at World Whiskies Awards 2025 and World Spirits Competition 2024. 46%. The sweet spot of Pulteney.
