Expert Review
8/10Column stills are designed for grain whisky — running 100% malted barley through one is rare worldwide. But Nikka does it, using Coffey (continuous) stills imported from Scotland in 1963. The result: malt sweetness and creamy texture survive, but with a distinctly different profile from pot-still single malt. Preferred over its Coffey Grain sibling by most reviewers.
