Tasting Notes

Nose

Green apple, vanilla cream, toasted almond and a thread of warm baking spice. Underneath, the unmistakable single pot still oiliness — wet barley, fresh pastry, a hint of clove.

Palate

Creamy and pepper-spiked. Vanilla custard, pear, honeyed cereal and a blossom of toasted oak from the French finish. The pot still character builds in the mid-palate — clove, ginger and a stony minerality.

Finish

Medium-long, gently spiced. Vanilla, white pepper and a final wisp of orchard fruit.

Expert Review

8.5/10

Midleton's experimental arm finished in French Limousin oak — a creamy, spicy single pot still that nods to tradition while quietly rewriting it.
