18 reviewsI opened this for my 40th and it was absolutely spectacular. The sherry influence is deep and layered — dried fruits, old leather, and this gorgeous oak spice that just lingers forever. At 43.7% it's deceptively easy to drink for a 60 year old whisky. Yes, £999 is a lot, but try finding another 60YO single malt at that price.

10 January 2026A friend brought this to our whisky club and the room went quiet. You nose this and get wave after wave — orange peel, Christmas cake, old oak, a hint of smoke way in the background. At 43.7% ABV it's gentle enough to sip neat without any water. Six decades in wood and it shows in every sip.

30 December 2025Managed to split a bottle with two mates and I'm glad I did. There's a real depth here — stewed plums, dark toffee, and an almost waxy richness that coats your tongue. It drinks older than some 60 year olds I've tried, in the best possible way. The Bond branding is a nice touch but the whisky speaks for itself.

9 December 2025Let me be honest — this is a very good single malt, but you're paying a Bond tax here. The whisky itself is rich and sherried with lovely notes of fig and walnut, but I've had cask strength Macallans that moved me more. If you're a 007 collector, go for it. If you just want great Speyside whisky, there are better ways to spend a grand.

11 October 2025Tried this at a tasting event and was genuinely impressed. The nose is all dark chocolate, raisins, and polished wood — proper old Speyside character. On the palate it's silky and complex but I found the finish slightly drier than I expected. Still a remarkable dram, especially neat.

9 October 2025I saved up for months and finally pulled the trigger. No regrets whatsoever. This is the most complex Macallan I've ever tasted — layers of dried apricot, cinnamon, dark honey, and ancient oak. I poured it neat and just sat with it for an hour. The Decade II release nails the balance between age and vibrancy perfectly.
