I like this a lot — smoky, briny, with some nice dried fruit sweetness from the sherry cask influence. The triple wood approach works well here and gives it more complexity than the standard Ledaig 10. At nearly £88 though, it's competing with some serious whisky at that price point, so I'd say it's fair value rather than a bargain.

Ledaig is one of those under-the-radar Tobermory distillery bottlings that deserves more attention. The triple wood maturation gives it layers of dark fruit and baking spice on top of that signature coastal peat. At cask strength 53.8% it packs a punch neat but a few drops of water really opens up the smoke. Genuinely impressed.
