Tasting Notes

Nose

Subdued peat smoke, fruit cake, pear, green apple, ripe banana, citrus zest, lemongrass — more fruit-forward than the 16

Palate

Robust peat with creamy, soft mouthfeel — butter tartlets, brine, malt sweetness — clean and approachable for Lagavulin

Finish

Lingering sweetness dancing with cigar ash and peppercorn — medium-long, the Ron Swanson seal of approval

Expert Review

8/10

The collaboration between Lagavulin and Nick Offerman — famous as Ron Swanson in Parks & Recreation. Multiple editions: original charred oak, Guinness stout cask finish, Caribbean rum cask. 11 years old, 46%. More fruit-forward than the classic 16, with slightly less intensity. The Guinness edition adds dark chocolate and roasted coffee to the classic peat.
