Tasting Notes

Nose

Earthy peat, dark chocolate-covered raisins, fresh coffee, dried fruits — peat and sherry entwined from the start

Palate

Spicy, peaty and rich — coastal smoke meets sherry sweetness, light BBQ sauce, dried currants, cranberries, cinnamon, ginger, white pepper

Finish

Medium-long — smoky sherry warmth, lingering dried fruit and gentle maritime peat — Sanaig Bay in a glass

Expert Review

8/10

Named after Sanaig Bay on Islay. Approximately 70-80% Oloroso sherry casks and 20-30% bourbon. Non-chill filtered, 46%. From Islay's only farm distillery (founded 2005). The sherry and peat marriage creates common ground for fans of both profiles. Strong value among sherried Islay malts.
