7.6/10Ki One Cask Strength Batch 7 is a bold, honestly presented Korean single malt that earns its place through substance rather than novelty. At 56.9% ABV and a fair price point, it rewards the curious drinker willing to explore beyond the established whisky regions.

40 reviewsAt nearly £94 I expected something with more complexity on the palate. Don't get me wrong, it's a pleasant single malt with nice citrus and malt notes, and the cask strength is well-integrated. I just think there are Scottish bottlings at this price that give you more to think about.

1 May 2026I drink most of my whisky on the rocks and this one really sings with a bit of dilution. The 56.9% mellows out into this gorgeous honeyed sweetness with a touch of white pepper on the back end. My wife even liked it, which never happens.

25 April 2026Picked this up on a whim at my local shop. The nose is all toffee and fresh grain, and the palate delivers with some stone fruit and a peppery kick from that 56.9%. Not the most complex dram I've had but it's well made and I respect what they're doing out in Korea.

5 April 2026I was skeptical about Korean whisky but this completely changed my mind. At cask strength 56.9% it opens up beautifully with a few drops of water — tropical fruit, honey, and a gentle oak spice. For under £100 this is genuinely impressive single malt.

28 March 2026I've had Batches 4 through 7 now and this is the one where Ki One really hit their stride. There's a confidence to this whisky — rich caramel, gentle smoke, and a lingering spice from the cask strength. Poured it neat for some friends and nobody could believe it was Korean.
