Nice to see a Japanese single malt that isn't trying to be Yamazaki. There's a light floral quality up front with some stone fruit and a touch of oak underneath. I drink it neat at room temp and it opens up beautifully after a few minutes in the glass.

I grabbed this on a whim after hearing good things about Kanosuke and I'm genuinely impressed. Tropical fruit and vanilla on the nose, then this lovely honey and citrus thing happens on the palate. At 48% it's got enough kick to keep things interesting neat but never feels hot. Worth every penny of that £90.
