The peat isn't aggressive at all, more like a background warmth that lets the oak and fruit notes shine. No chill filtration and 46% ABV so you know they haven't cut corners. The smoke is gentle, more campfire than Islay bonfire, and the mizunara oak gives it this lovely sandalwood and incense thing underneath. At 46% it's got enough punch to hold up neat without being harsh. Would happily buy again.

This is exactly what I've been looking for. The balance between the smoky peat and the delicate floral sweetness from the mizunara oak is just spot on. I get dried fruit on the nose, clean smoke on the palate, and a long warm finish. Worth every penny of the £98 in my opinion.
