Tasting Notes

Nose

Heather smoke, honey, dried fruit. The Orkney peat — heathery, floral, quite different from Islay's maritime intensity — is immediately apparent. Sherry sweetness weaves through the smoke, adding dried cherry and a gentle spice. A touch of salt from the island air.

Palate

Balanced and complex — heather smoke, sherry fruit, honey. The combination of heather-peat smoke and sherry cask maturation creates a signature that is uniquely Highland Park. Mid-palate brings dark chocolate, malt and a gentle warming spice. At 40%, it drinks smoothly, though higher strength would benefit it.

Finish

Medium-long, with heather smoke and sherry warmth lingering elegantly.
