6 reviewsGot to try this at a friend's birthday and I'm still thinking about it weeks later. The nose is all beeswax, orange peel and gentle smoke. On the palate there's this gorgeous layer of dark chocolate and dried apricot that just lingers forever.
27 April 2026At £900 this is firmly special occasion territory. That said, the quality is undeniable — classic Highland Park with that signature balance of smoke and sweetness, plus an old-school waxy texture you don't get from modern bottlings. Bottled at 40% which feels a touch low for a whisky of this pedigree.

4 January 2026Distilled in 1977 and left to mature for 21 years — you can taste every one of them. Rich heather honey on the nose, gentle peat smoke, and dried fruits that just keep unfolding. I sipped this neat at a tasting event and genuinely didn't want to put the glass down.
